Ninja Slash (action)

Ninja Slash by DooPop is an action game which has a ninja running along an endless path, slashing zombies on the way. This is a game of skill with simple rules.

A typical ninja's day.

Ninja Slash has a ninja running along an endless path through different environments. Along the way, there are zombies to be slashed. Each type of zombie has a different method of defeating them such as pushing the down key to slide under them or pushing up to jump over. There is a tutorial which will explain the rules.

Points are scored by defeating zombies. Defeating zombies consecutively increases the combo count, which will increase the score multiplier, which increases the points scored by defeating zombies. Additionally, at 25, 50 and every 50 combo count after that, coins will be awarded in increasing amount. The combo resets if no zombies are defeated for a certain amount of time.

The ninja can collect items found along the way. There are scrolls, which give temporary bonuses, and Lucky Cat Tokens, to be used in the Lucky Cat Slots.

As stated earlier, Ninja Slash is a game of skill. The challenge is to keep the ninja alive while collecting and scoring coins and maintaining the combo count. The idea is to improve one's skill in the game through practice. The game speeds up the further the ninja runs. In addition, the path followed are segments of fixed arrangement, each with its own best route for the ninja to take. Through practice, the player can anticipate the route.

Missions.

To make the game more interesting, the game has Missions for the ninja to accomplish. Completing the main Mission increases the score multiplier limit, enabling the player to score more points. There is also a Daily Challenge, which when completed, will award the player with Lucky Cat Tokens.

Lucky Cat Slot.

Lucky Cat Tokens are used in the Lucky Cat Slots, which randomly award prizes of coins, consumables or items to unlock ninjas. Coins are used to buy consumables, upgrade the duration of scrolls and unlock ninjas.

In summary, Ninja Slash is a game with simple rules. It is easy to play but the challenge is to be good at it through practice. The game is still being improved so later versions of the game may differ from what is reviewed here.

Game Tips:
* Press down in mid-air to do a dive-roll. This is a very important trick to get to the ground quick later in the game in order to maintain the combo.
* Later in the game, when things move faster, it is easier to maintain combos.
* Scoring coins through combos usually gives more than picking coins up manually without a Gold Scroll.
* Berserkers can be killed while the ninja has the Thunder Scroll active.
* Slashing bamboos and street lamps increases the combo count but do not give points.
* Take regular breaks, especially after intense runs. It is easier to focus after a break.

Berserkers can be defeated with lightning!
