Mutants: Lichlock

I bred a Bronze Star version of the Lichlock that I received from the Event, PVE Season 5 - Vegas:
Bred a Bronze Lichlock!
According to the Mutants Wiki, getting an Elite Mutant (i.e. Mutant with Star) of a PVP/PVE Mutant would be as easy as breeding the PVP/PVE Mutant with another Mutant that shares at least one same Gene. Just remember to add a Star.

In practice, I find that the above is not always so. After some experimenting, I came up with the theory that the 'breeding a PVP/PVE Mutant with a Mutant that shares a Gene for the same PVP/PVE Mutant' thing only works the first time. I have not proven conclusively that this is true, though.

If that theory is true, then I shall have trouble getting an Elite Behemoth (ugh, bad) and an Elite Zombat (not so bad, I mean, seriously, a Zombat!?).

The reason why I want Elite PVP/PVE Mutants is because they tend to have better stats. Take a look at the stats for the Lichlock:
Lichlock and Bronze Lichlock
Compare the Lichlock's stats with those of the Gandolphus, which has the same Speed:
Gandolphus
The Lichlock has 9% more Health Points and 13% more Attack than the Gandolphus.

Mutants: Silver Mutant 1

I received a Silver Star from the Daily Reward:
Received a Silver Star!
I immediately went to select a couple of Level 15+ Bronze Mutants for breeding.
Always double-check to make sure what Star is or isn't used!
And the breeding time is:
I should upgrade the Breeding Center.
After many hours of waiting, I finally have the result:
Silver Nebulon!
After that, the incubation. More waiting:
I should upgrade the Incubator too.

Mutants: PVP Season 12 Ends

PVP Season 12 ended today.

I was in the Experts league and won the Master Splitter.
Scored the Master Splitter.
My ranking for Season 12 was much better, at around the top 5%. Having the Asian Valkyrie helps a lot.
My recent rankings.
Here is the Master Splitter's Mutopedia entry:
Master Splitter.
Mutant rewards from PVP tend to have better stats. For comparison, the Mutopedia entry for the Astro Surfer, which has the same Speed as the Master Splitter, is presented below:
Astro Surfer.
By comparison, the Master Splitter has 9.5% more Health Points and 11% more Attack.

Master Splitter Larva. Cheese~!
One tip for PVP: If you see an Asian Valkyrie on the opposing side, she should be the primary target. The reason should be obvious. Read this again if it isn't.

Buddy Rush: November 2013 Attendance Reward

It should be no surprise by now that this month's 20-day attendance reward is the same as last year's.
Attendance Reward for November 2013.
For those too lazy to check out last year's post, the Turkey that is this month's reward gives Def+2%.

Dungeons of Kong (Turn-based RPG)

Dungeons of Kong
After a long hiatus, nerdook is back (for details, read the 'Dev Notes' in the game) with a new game. Dungeons of Kong is a short turn-based RPG where a party of adventurers explore a randomly-generated dungeon to take down an Ancient Evil somewhere at the bottom of that dungeon.
I wonder if 'Nerdook' has any relation to 'nerdook'.
At the start, the player creates a party of adventurers. The first adventurer may be customized while the other two slots have to be filled with preset characters named after certain familiar people. After that, the party is sent into the dungeon.
Exploring a level.
In the dungeon, exploration is conducted by clicking on blank tiles to uncover new areas. New areas may contain an encounter, which will be marked with a monstrous skull. An encounter will block further exploration in that direction.
An event.
While exploring, random events may also be uncovered. These events generally come with two or three actions that the party may choose. The consequence of the chosen action may help or inflict damage on the party. And damage received is a great deal in the game since, depending on the setup of the party, healing may not be easy to come by.
Level introduction.
Each level has a special boss encounter. At the start of the level, there will be an introduction to explain the encounter so the player knows roughly what to expect. Conveniently, the title of the level is shown at the bottom of the screen.
Battle.
Battles are turn-based, where each character takes turns to act. Each character may take two actions each turn. However, most baddies may only attack once per turn (party members may use both actions for attacks).

The party members are developed with gold. When the party uses the exit of each level, there will be an opportunity to spend gold to level characters or purchase equipment. Gold is accumulated through events and by defeating enemies. Sometimes, during battles, there may be treasure chests containing gold. These chests have to be looted before the battle ends. The player has to decide whether it is worth the risk to prolong the battle and receive more damage in order to loot those chest.

The weapon the character uses determines the weapons available for purchase. For example, there is an expensive mace, which may heal all characters once per battle, but is only available to mace-wielding characters.

The player has also to consider the Threat level. The longer the party adventures, the higher the Threat level grows. When it reaches the maximum, the Ancient Evil will awaken and will come pay the party a visit. Each of these visits presumably strengthens the Ancient Evil in the final battle. Thus the player has to decide whether to go straight for the exit to get to the Ancient Evil or search around the level for more gold to develop the party.

There is an option at the start to enable tutorial, which will explain clearly all the game mechanics. What the tutorial does not tell is that the Easy Difficulty level should be completed first. The other Difficulty levels do not matter as much but the Easy Difficulty should be completed at least once.

Dungeons of Kong is a simple turn-based RPG. The dungeons are randomly generated so there is some replayability there. Random events and different level boss encounters help keep the game interesting. The game is short, which is good since it is not possible to save during an adventure.

Mutants: Girl Power Mutants

In Mutants: Genetic Gladiators, I recently collected all the Mutants in the Girl Power collection in the Mutant Reactor. As a result, I was rewarded with the Asian Valkyrie:
Girl Power Demon and Asian Valkyrie!
So happy, so I ignored the missing plural in Eva's grammar.
It only took me 8 Reactor Tokens to complete the collection. Next, I incubated the Asian Valkyrie:
Look at the incubation time!
The incubation time in the screenshot had been rounded down to the nearest hour. It would take 30 hours for the Asian Valkyrie to incubate. That would be three times what the wiki said for the regular Valkyrie!

(As I was writing this, I received a Facebook notice that my larva was ready to hatch. I checked my Incubator and found that the time for the two larvae were 19 hours 52 minutes and 12 hours 25 minutes respectively. I wish they would not sent that Facebook notice so early.)

In the screenshot, there was the Bronze Bushi in the Incubator too - I had received the Asian Valkyrie shortly after I had bred the Bronze Bushi.

Girl Power version of Mutants have different stats compared to their regular counterparts. Girl Power versions of Android, Honey Bunny and Blade Banshee each have -10% Health Points but +10% Attack.
Regular Android and Girl Power Android.
Regular Honey Bunny and Girl Power Honey Bunny.
Regular Blade Banshee and Girl Power Blade Banshee.
Girl Power versions of Demon and Grim Reapress have +20% Health Points and -1% Attack. Note that Bronze Mutants have +10% Health Points and +10% Attack.
Regular Demon and Girl Power Demon.
Regular Grim Reapress and Girl Power Grim Reapress.
The Asian Valkyrie has +65% Health Points and a huge of bonus +92.5% Attack! The high attack made the Asian Valkyrie a really aggressive Mutant. Note that Gold Mutants have +75% Health Points and +75% Attack.
Regular Valkyrie and Asian Valkyrie.
Updated 8 December 2013:
As of 7 December 2013, the Girl Power collection is no longer available in the Mutant Reactor, replaced by the Gothic collection.

Mutants: Bushi

I bred a Bushi Mutant.

It was simple to do with the right parents:
Stealth Bot + Zomborg + Bronze Star = Bronze Bushi
Since I was guaranteed a Bushi, I had decided to get a Bronze version.

According to the wiki entry, Martian Marauder and Tutti Gooey are also valid parents.

Here is the Mutopedia entry for the Bronze Bushi:

For comparison, here is the regular Bushi:

Mutants: PvE Season 3 Ends

It was around an hour before the end of the PvE Season 3, Halloween Nightmare, Event.
1 hour and some seconds left.
I had two more wins to go to get the Zombat reward (which would be rewarded at win number 60):
Next challenge, number 59.
I had a lot of Med Packs left, so I didn't have to worry about my Mutant's hit points:
Lots of Med Packs.
In addition, I had two tag teams available, just nice for the two wins I had needed, provided I won.

And I won the first fight:
Level 15+ Bronze Star mutants do make a difference.
Then it was the fight for the 60th win. And I had exactly 15 Campaign Passes, the exact amount necessary to start the fight.
All that was left was to select a team, heal them up (mustn't forget this step) and use my last tag team.

The fight was easier than a few of the previous fights:
60th win on the 11th hour!
Scored a Zombat!
Zombat
I probably shouldn't make it a habit of leaving things till the last moment.

The Double Reclassification, Interlude

Hey, there. It's Taciturn Female Healer here in the Narration Room, having a turn with the Interlude.

After our previous story, Lady in the City, was done, someone in the studio pointed out that the title had nothing to do with the story. True, there was a Lady, but she was in a town, specifically, That Other Town. The title should have been Lady in Town! It was amazing that no one caught that mistake throughout production! As I remember, the project had been called Lady in the City since almost the beginning.

Then again, there is a lot of mislabeling in Adventures of Heroes Who Talk Too Much. The primary offender is Taciturn Female Healer. She is not a 'Healer'! She doesn't even act like one! And she's not really that 'Taciturn' too! She is a 'Female' though, so that's about the only part of her name that's accurate.

I guess people should be free to be who they want to be and not be restricted by labels placed on them.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the story! Do take a short break before continuing. At least stand up and stretch a little or go get a cup of something to drink. Everything will be right here waiting for when you get back!

Part 7: The Forgotten Investor

Adventures of Heroes Who Talk Too Much

The Double Reclassification, Part 7: The Forgotten Investor

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
We're back in Some Town Tavern to celebrate the completion of our Dungeon Raid!

Typical Bespectacled Mage
We received a lot of gold, some loot and Experience Points. I'd consider the Dungeon Raid a success.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
We scored a Sturdy Leather Breastplate! It has good Defense, it has a Plus and it matches my Non-Equipment clothes so I claimed it!

Typical Bespectacled Mage
You'll be a better tank now with increased Defense.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
So, explain to me something.

Typical Bespectacled Mage
If I may.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Why are you setting aside some of our gold?

***

Typical Bespectacled Mage
I'm setting aside some of our gold for our party funds.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
But Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman isn't even here!

Taciturn Female Healer
Actually, he's just sitting beside you with a mug of ale and a signboard with a cross-eyed smiley.

Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman
I do lament my obscurity since the time I had the burden of the Out status laid upon me.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Do we really need Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman?

Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman
Greater woe has befallen upon me, for I have now discovered that I am indeed invisible to Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace!

***

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Anyway, Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman, have you been doing anything besides drinking ale in taverns?

Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman
It is with great pleasure that I report the setting up of two investment schemes with our shared gold!

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
What have you done with our gold!?

Typical Bespectacled Mage
I note that at the mention of gold, Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace suddenly noticed the presence of Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman.

Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman
I announce that I have acquired shares in two promising businesses here in That Other Town. With these partial ownerships, we shall be paid a portion of the profits of these businesses regularly!

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
So we now have a steady income of gold? Wow, you're useful to have!

Typical Bespectacled Mage
And that's why we should always save some gold for him.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
That's great! So... may I have some gold for shopping?

Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman
It is with regret that I inform you, Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace, that it does take some time for our share of the gold to accumulate.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Eh, say what now?

Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman
Our shared party resources are now near empty. We should thus focus our efforts on the reduction of our expenditure till our gold is replenished!

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
That means no shopping?

***

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Goodness, what am I going to do with no gold for shopping!? Wait, what about today's loot?

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Like I'd told you before, we'd be better off with some of our gold in Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman's hands. The more we put in now, the better our returns later.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
You mean we've absolutely no gold?

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Oh, I'm sure he's set aside some for essential spending like stocking up on consumables. Besides, I didn't give Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman everything - you've your share of the loot. Isn't that enough for your daily needs?

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Well... I, er... I need to do some calculations...

***

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Let's see... I do have enough gold for daily expenses... definitely not enough for shopping, and definitely not enough for my night-time activity! Where else can I get gold?

Typical Bespectacled Mage
You do have enough gold, don't you?

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Er, yes, I guess...

***

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Anyway, explain to me something!

Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman
Yes, Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace!

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
You're Out! How did you do all your business while you're Out? Is that permitted!?

Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman
I do admit that I am restricted by the misfortune of my Out status as stated in The Rules. Thus, there is indeed few tasks that I may perform. That which I may not, I have set up Quests for others to accomplish. I count the gold reward I pay as a minor expense for greater profits!

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Oh, so you're abusing the Quest system too!

Wandering Grumpy Ogre
As I told you a few days back, simple Quests like these are the only way some of us can earn gold with you Hero-types beating us so often!

Erm, I delivered the paperwork like you asked, Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman. Any other Quests? Maybe something with kids?

***

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Explain to me something else!

Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman
Yes, Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace!

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
You had been sending Wandering Grumpy Ogre out on Quests and paying him gold, yes?

Cliched Spikey-Haired Swordsman
That is indeed correct!

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Why didn't you offer those Quests to me!?

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Ah, her avarice shows itself again.

***

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
What'll I do for tonight's gold?

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Eh, did you say something?

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Ah, I was just thinking... I'm past Level 100 now. I think it's time for me to Reclassify.

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Oh, don't you dare! At least not until Cliched-Spikey Haired Swordsman gains a few Levels so he can properly tank! Don't you forget what happened when both him and me Reclassified at the same time!

Part 6: The Dungeon Boss

Interlude

Adventures of Heroes Who Talk Too Much

The Double Reclassification, Part 6: The Dungeon Boss

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
So... the Dungeon Boss is... Weak Goblin Swordsman? Is that it?

Typical Bespectacled Mage
I thought it was strange that the Dungeon Boss' name was not written on the notice at the entrance of the Dungeon.

Weak Goblin Swordsman
I'm not alone. I've Puny Goblin Stabber at my side!

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Just you two?

Typical Bespectacled Mage
We've faced something like this once. Remember our fight against Lithe Silverbow Naga in Tame Mossy Caverns Of Purple Flowers?

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Right, so these two little Dungeon Bosses may have more little minions hidden.

Typical Bespectacled Mage
I think it is the other way around.

***

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Anyway, we've Ambush Round. I'll take out Weak Goblin Swordsman from here. Go ahead and snipe his pal.

Weak Goblin Swordsman
Wait, aren't you supposed to charge in and attack us!?

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Too late, you guys are Out!

***

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Now what? Those two are Out and we're still in Battle!

Typical Bespectacled Mage
There must be hidden enemies. Time to use those Scout Skills.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
I don't see anyone from here, though. Someone should check the center of the Battlefield.

Taciturn Female Healer
I've seen something like this before. There's likely a Trap or something in the center.

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Those two Goblins earlier were too eager to lure us out there.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
So, we're just going to wait here until something happens?

Taciturn Female Healer
Hey, Ambush Round is over!

***

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
It's the break between Rounds. What are we going to do on Round 1?

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Someone has to step into the middle to check for enemies. The Dungeon Boss may be hidden there.

Taciturn Female Healer
There may be Traps there.

Typical Bespectacled Mage
That's a good point. Remember that the Goblins weren't moving from their spots.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Is this really the Battle with the Dungeon Boss?

Typical Bespectacled Mage
It has to be. This is the last room in the Dungeon.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
I wish that spikey-haired idiot were here. He'd just charge out there.

***

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Now we're in round 4 of a 36-round Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament to determine who goes out to the middle of the Battlefield!

Typical Bespectacled Mage
How did I agree to this?

Taciturn Female Healer
Hey, has anyone seen Sneaky Ogre Thief?

***

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Round 12 of our Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament!

Hidden Goblin Rogue
Oh, that's it! I can't take all this waiting anymore! I'm here, okay!

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
So that's where he was.

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Are you going to charge at him, Taciturn Female Healer?

Hidden Goblin Rogue
Yeah, come on! We've other parties waiting to Raid this Dungeon! Let's get on with it!

Taciturn Female Healer
I don't think I should rush up to him. He may have more tricks. We should let him come to us.

Hidden Goblin Rogue
(Censored colorful expletive.)

***

Hidden Goblin Rogue
All right, everyone! Come out and charge at them!

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
You can't charge at us.

Hidden Goblin Rogue
Why not?

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
We haven't started Round 1 yet.

Hidden Goblin Rogue
Can we start Round 1 then?

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Just a moment...

What's the plan, Typical Bespectacled Mage?

Hidden Goblin Rogue
(More censored colorful expletive.)

***

Typical Bespectacled Mage
From the looks of it, we're facing a group of Goblin Thieves and a couple of Healers, led by an Advanced-Class Goblin Rogue. They must have been using their Hide Skills.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
And what are we going to do?

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Let's see... they've both range and melee combatants...

Taciturn Female Healer should concentrate on Hidden Goblin Rogue. We'll handle the rest. Looks like you've to tank again. Try to snipe their Healers. I'll cover you with Healing and Spells.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Sounds like a plan. What about our temp?

Typical Bespectacled Mage
I'm sure Sneaky Ogre Thief will do whatever is most irritating to the opposition.

***

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
So that's it for the plan?

Typical Bespectacled Mage
That's about it.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
We may start the Round now?

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Sure, go ahead and give the Ready status.

Hidden Goblin Rogue
Finally!

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
There are so many impatient people today!

***

Hidden Goblin Rogue
I commend your prowess, little girl, for standing against me thus far...

Taciturn Female Healer
I do my best!

Hidden Goblin Rogue
But while you are occupied here, my minions will eventually overcome your allies without someone to protect them!

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
He's right! I can't tank for long, even with Typical Bespectacled Mage's Healing Spells.

Hidden Goblin Rogue
Victory will eventually be mine!

Sneaky Ogre Thief
I use Shadow Strike on Hidden Goblin Rogue.

***

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Oh, the irony! A sneaky character was backstabbed!

Hidden Goblin Rogue
I'd like to point out that Sneaky Ogre Thief is a sneaky character too!

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
True. But you're an Advanced Class. He's only a Basic Class. Plus, he's a big Ogre.

***

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Shouldn't Sneaky Ogre Thief be helping us? He can finish these Goblin Thieves quick!

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Well, he has good reason to attack Hidden Goblin Rogue. Hidden Goblin Rogue is worth more Experience Points.

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Won't he get more Experience Points from the bonus he gets by defeating these Goblin Thieves?

Typical Bespectacled Mage
It's true that he'll get more Experience Points by defeating an enemy rather than just simply attacking. However, I think his aim is to defeat Hidden Goblin Rogue. Simply put, he and Taciturn Female Healer are in a competition to see who can land the finishing blow and grab the Experience-Point bonus!

Hidden Goblin Rogue
As the party whose Hit Points are rapidly diminishing because of the mentioned competition, I hereby voice my protest!

***

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Well, that was a good fight.

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Once Sneaky Ogre Thief finished Hidden Goblin Rogue, it was easy to defeat the latter's minions.

Taciturn Female Healer
I'll get lucky next time!

Typical Bespectacled Mage
Need I point out that, in our usual party, you're the one who would usually fight the tough opponent and claim the bonus Experience Points all to yourself?

Gorgeous Lady Archer of Epic Grace
Forget about that! We've completed the Dungeon. Let's claim the loot!
