Cat God vs Sun King 2 (action)

Cat God vs Sun King 2
The Cat God is back to smite the Sun King who is trying to build a tower to meet with Cat God (to beat him). Cat God vs Sun King 2 by nerdook may be the sequel to Cat God vs Sun King but feels like a new game with its different gameplay. This time, the Cat God steps into (er, floats over) the battlefield to personally deliver comments.
Cat God comments.
Cat God's primary attack is simply dropping Fireballs to burn the Sun King and his minions. The Fireballs do continue falling after hitting a target - that helps a lot when there are lots of minions on the screen. Defeating multiple targets with the same Fireball will win extra combo points.

In addition, the Cat God may also summon an instant Divine Pillar of Flames for more burning effects. This attack is easier to aim compared to the slow-moving Fireball.

There are also Scarabs that float across the screen once in a while. Hitting these Scarabs with any attack will give extra points. When enough Scarabs are hit, the Cat God will use a randomly-selected Scarab Power to unleash more mayhem on the defiant workers.
Choosing a Game Mode.
There are several Game Modes to choose from, each with its own challenge for the Cat God (except for one special Game Mode) to face. There are no achievements but each Game Mode has a Golden Scarab to collect, obtainable when a certain score is achieved in that Game Mode.

Also, beating a Game Mode sometimes awards a hat that the Cat God can wear. Each hat gives a different bonus.
Know the minion.
The Sun King has a number of different minions, each with their own methods of annoying the Cat God. There is an Enemy Codex conveniently provided with details of each of these minions.
Upgrade abilities.
Points earned in the game can be used to upgrade abilities, making it easier for the Cat God to smite his/her/its enemies.
Getting a combo shot is hard.
As mentioned earlier, defeating multiple opponents with the same attack will make a combo. Combos are the key to earning lots of points since a whole lot more points are awarded with multiple kills compared to defeating each opponent individually. Plus defeating multiple opponents clears the battlefield of minions quicker. It takes practice to create large combos, especially with the slow-falling Fireballs.

Also, hitting the erratically-moving Scarabs with Fireballs is another challenge.
Cat God summons Sandworms and gloats.
Overall, Cat God vs Sun King 2 is a straightforward game that is easy to learn but with a challenge to master the ability to score point-awarding combos. It has good graphics and remarkable battle music.

Oh, and the Ending Song is a fun listen too.
A song, a song!
