The latest update, Update 0.5.8 changed the stats of several equipment and set bonuses. It also allows Refined Sets to be completed with regular equipments where there is no Refined version of that equipment. For example, the Madder Scientist set below.

The recipes for many equipment have been changed. Shiny Rubies and Diamonds are now required for more equipment. On the plus side, Shiny Rubies and Diamonds may be found by beating the baddies. However, the drop rate is very low. This makes it more difficult to complete certain sets.
